About Let's Skate
Our Mission
At Let's Skate, we believe in the transformative power of skateboarding for personal growth and community development. As a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, our mission is to foster a vibrant and inclusive skate community at the Barb Iverson Skate Plaza and other Sioux Falls skateparks. We aim to create a hub for skateboarding enthusiasts that also promotes inclusivity, creativity, and community engagement.
Who We Are
Let's Skate is a skateboarding community-based organization. Our lives have been positively impacted by the skateboard community, and we want to give back.
Community Involvement
After our successful fundraising for our park, we are working towards creating after-school programming and statewide community outreach. We aim to provide a space for families to gather, for inclusive connection and encouragement, and for kids to safely be exactly who they are.
Our Board
The Let's Skate board is dedicated to building the skate community in the Sioux Falls area.
As of 2026, the Let's Skate board is an ad hoc board with no regular meetings.
